We think
TEMPEH
MADE IN SCOTLAND
BAKED, NEVER FRIED
100% PLANT-BASED
A childhood staple.
Our co-founder, Zora, grew up with tempeh. Rather than serving as a health food or a trend, tempeh was always there as part of her daily hustle whether as a full meal by itself, as a savoury snack, or a quick fix for tea.
Years later, tempeh was starting to turn up on shelves in the UK, though almost always sold as a fresh ingredient to cook. That leaves out the part of tempeh she grew up with and remembered most fondly: the part where it was eaten and shared between friends and family as savoury, crunchy snacks.
TEMPTÉ is here for that. No cooking, no meal prep, no fridges. TEMPTÉ can be eaten anywhere, straight out of the bag.
Why
TEMPEH?
Tempeh with its roots in Indonesia, is made of whole soybeans and bound into a firm cake that you can slice easily. Dense, warm, and especially nutty, it holds its own flavour even when seasoned, rather than vanishing under it.
No cooking. No fridge.
READY TO EAT NOW.
Twenty-six recipes later, the one that worked came out of an oven rather than a deep-fryer. Frying hides the very thing worth tasting, so we bake ours instead.
Our TEMPTÉ snacks have been up a mountain, passed around on a long ride home, and even opened at ten in the evening as an after-dinner snack.
